Here’s some excit­ing news for the disco fanat­ics — Gloria Gaynor’s first two albums have finally got­ten lav­ish CD reis­sues, com­plete with liner notes and copi­ous extra tracks on each disc.   These releases come from Big Break Records, a new sub­la­bel of Cherry Red that promise the best of disco and soul sounds from the 1970’s and 1980’s.  Your Humble Reviewer has high hopes for these discs and plans to snap them up as soon as pos­si­ble.  They sure look like solid bets for the mir­ror­ball set…

Making its inter­na­tional CD debut, the orig­i­nal Queen of Disco’s first album fea­tures the genre-defining hits sin­gles ‘Honey Bee’, ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ and ‘Reach Out, I’ll Be There’ as well as addi­tional UK hit ‘All I Need I…s Your Sweet Loving’.
